Wet litter has greatly affected poultry farmers uganda.
It’s often difficult to pinpoint a dominant cause when there are so many possibilities but there are many factors that may lead to wet litter in poultry management and they are digestive upset, diseases like Newcastle, nutritional imbalance , poor house ventilation, poor drinker management and majory inadequate litter water storage capability.
Poultry birds that are exposed to diets with high potassium, sodium, magnesium, sulfate and chlorine contents increases water intake and this high water excretion. And so in this case wet litter conditions occurs.
